TheSenior Analyst Flight Ops Safety & PilotASAPsupports JetBlue's Pilot Aviation Safety Action Program (PASAP) and Flight Operations compliance with JetBlue Safety Management System (SMS) policies, procedures and risk controls. The Senior Analystmonitors and reports on the implementation of strategies, initiatives and best practices, as directed by the Manager, Flight Operations Safety and SMS/Pilot ASAP Manager, and will play a leading role in incident investigations and subsequent mitigation strategies.
Essential Responsibilities:
At the delegation of the Manager, Flight Operations Safety & SMS/Pilot ASAP Manager, may occasionally serve as acting Pilot ASAP Manager duringEvent Review Committee (ERC)meetings in the case of his/her absence.
Collect information to facilitate ASAP event investigation and analysis. Information collection efforts will include, but not be limitedto:conductingcrewmember interviews, soliciting written statements, and researching technical documents.
Analyzes data from events, self-assessments, inspections and audits to identify trends and to communicate to various departments as well as leadership. Uses said data to package information on reporting "success stories," for dissemination as part of Safety Promotion. Occasionally author relevant articles for internal safety publications.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of leadership, other internal departments and other industry entities to include, but not limited to, theFederal AviationAdministration(FAA),Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA)andConfidential Information Sharing Program (CISP)/Air Traffic Safety Action Program (ATSAP)
