Job Overview

The Director,Production will ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently; through the management of production processes, planning and organizing production schedules, assessing project and resource requirements, and ensuring that health and safety regulations are met. The Director will oversee the organizing of repair and routine maintenance of production equipment in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, as well as supervising the work and leading relevant training sessions. As well as coordinatethe activities of the production, maintenance, and quality assurance departments to ensure effective execution of the weekly production schedule. The Directoralso ensures the effective utilization of resources including staffing, equipment, and materials.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conductdaily line performance review meetings with representatives from all departments to ensure production KPIs are being met and to identify potential issues impacting productivity
  • Prioritizemaintenance work orders in conjunction with the maintenance manager and supports team meetings to address issues that affect production line performance
  • Collaboratewith the Product Supply Planning team to manage raw material inventory and production schedules and ensurethat production is scheduled in such a manner as to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Conductdaily reviews and ensureproduction is scheduled to avoid out-of-stock situations by resolving any issues as to consumer complaints and customer feedback; ensurecross-functional communication within the plant is timely and effective and drives efficient and effective resolutions to deliver satisfaction to both internal and external customers
  • ReviewP&L statement weekly to ensure accuracy and manages budget for all production supplies; reviewdaily raw materials yield reporting, investigateand resolveinventory variances; reviewweekly labor reporting to manage labor and ensure overtime is minimized
  • Manage, lead, and motivatea team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines. Engage and develop teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training. Implement continuous improvement methods and embody company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • 3-5 years of food and beverage industry experience required
  • Experience with supervising associates in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to plan and execute complex projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Successful background in change management and building a winning culture
  • Successfully build cross-functional relationships and have a strategic vision
  • Ability to lead, manage and develop a team
  • Advanced PC skill - MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walking manufacturing floor, climbing stairs, and lift up to 25lbs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years)
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Food Industry, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience may be acceptable
