Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Polisher / Buffing Technician to join a precision manufacturing team supporting aerospace component production. This role is responsible for performing complex polishing, buffing, blending, and finishing operations on aerospace blades and precision-machined components to achieve required surface finishes and dimensional tolerances. The ideal candidate will have experience working with metal finishing processes, precision measuring instruments, and aerospace-quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:
* Perform a wide variety of complex polishing and buffing operations on aerospace blades and precision components.
* Work under the direction of the Polishing Team Leader to ensure production and quality requirements are met.
* Follow operation sheets, work instructions, gauges, and specifications to achieve required finishes and tolerances.
* Polish, blend, feather, and buff blade surfaces including leading edges, trailing edges, bases, radii, and airfoil surfaces.
* Work to extremely close tolerances while maintaining dimensional integrity and surface finish requirements.
* Rework nonconforming or deviated parts to reclaim components and minimize scrap.
* Process a variety of aerospace blades and other precision-manufactured components.
* Inspect and verify work using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection equipment.
* Perform bench inspections of parts processed by other team members when required.
* Operate belt sanders, polishing equipment, grinding wheels, buffing wheels, wheel dressers, and related finishing equipment.
* Utilize cutting compounds, abrasives, grits, polishing media, and finishing materials to achieve required surface finishes.
* Shape and maintain polishing wheels, including forming specialized radii on rubber contact wheels.
* Operate vibratory finishing equipment to achieve specified surface finish requirements.
* Assist in training and supporting less experienced polishing personnel when needed.
* Detect and report defective materials, equipment issues, and unusual production concerns.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing regulations.
* Perform additional duties and support activities as assigned by supervision.

Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED required.
* One to three years of polishing, buffing, grinding, or metal finishing experience.
* Experience working with aerospace, precision-machined, or metal components.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
* Strong shop math skills and mechanical aptitude.
* Experience using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
* Ability to work with close tolerances and detailed quality requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as required.
* Willingness to wear required PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous aerospace manufacturing experience.
* Experience polishing and finishing turbine blades, airfoils, or precision aerospace components.
* Familiarity with vibratory finishing equipment and abrasive finishing processes.
* Experience working in high-tolerance manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of surface finish specifications and quality inspection methods.
* Ability to perform rework and repair operations on precision components.
* Experience training or mentoring junior polishing personnel.
