Radiology Clerk

Full Time, Tuesday-Friday 8a-6:30p

Under general direction, provides patient-facing clinical support functions and comprehensive clerical/operational support for Diagnostic Imaging.

Job Duties:

• Answer, triage, and route all incoming department calls using proper etiquette; accurately document and deliver messages; direct callers to the appropriate person/number when needed.
• Clarify test/procedure preparation instructions for patients and provider offices; answer routine questions and escalate as appropriate.
• Greet patients; check photo ID when distributing records; provide wayfinding and expectations; notify technologists/leadership of concerns.
• Dispatch X-ray technologists to ORs and portable exams; communicate priorities and STAT needs (including overnight STATRad reports).
• Open and close the radiology desk (un/transfer phones; check the waiting room for early arrivals; readiness checks; end-of-day handoff).

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Some job-related experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Healthcare experience and EPIC experience is preferred
• Imaging or Radiology experience highly preferred
• Experience coordinating schedules and/or patient flow across departments
• Must be able to multi-task, has a great attitude and welcoming personality
