Job Description

Metal Sales is now part of the Cornerstone Building Brands family, strengthening our commitment to serving our communities where we live, work, and play with quality and innovative metal building solutions.

  • Prepares estimates from information received such as contract drawings,
  • specifications, and addendums using in-house pricing software, supplemental
  • design and pricing programs and information obtained from vendors
  • Identifies exclusions, discrepancies, missing information and obtains clarification
  • and qualifies the quotation based on that information
  • Provides adds, deducts, or alternates as requested to estimates that require special
  • pricing beyond the current capabilities of the pricing software
  • Ensures the use of the most current pricing information when preparing the
  • estimate
  • Builds and maintains Builder/Vendor relationships
  • Communicates with Builders, Sales, Customer Service and Engineering regarding
  • any clarification of scope/design intent that the Estimator was involved in
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Continually improves productivity, accuracy and ability
  • Understand the role in the overall system and be willing to step outside that role
  • Reports to Estimating Manager
  • Travel is not typical, however for training purposes it may be requested.


Qualifications


  • Good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectivelythrough written and verbal methods
  • Ability to review and interpret project specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Exhibit competency of in-house design programs and procedures
  • Blue Beam, Top View and AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Must be comfortable on the phone with customers and Field Sales


Additional Information

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $28hr-$33hr + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
