DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on providing wound care, infection control support, and health program coordination within the facility.

As a Wound Care Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Wound Management: Conduct assessments, recommend treatment plans, and monitor healing progress
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all wound care and infection control standards
  • Data Oversight: Maintain accurate reports, logs, and documentation for review
  • Staff Guidance: Provide education to staff members on preventing and identifying skin concerns
  • Program Coordination: Coordinates the Employee Health Program
  • Safety Practices: Follow established safety rules and report hazards or incidents promptly

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment; 80 hours/biweekly
  • Work hours are 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM
    • Work every other weekend
  • We offer a competitive salary and state benefits including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance coverage; excellent vacation, sick, and holiday leave package; and retirement plan.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $88,130.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Special Requirements:

  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
