Job Summary:

We are seeking a Staff Accountant who is a team player as part of a six-person Corporate close team. The Staff Accountant is a highly motivated self-starter who can effectively interact with others and can operate in a public company Corporate close environment. This role will perform accounting duties associated with general ledger and account reconciliation assistance, as well as monthly close review analysis. This is a highly visible position that will work directly with members of the Accounting team, and other key stakeholders. Responsibilities will include the timely completion of activities within the monthly/quarterly close timelines, such as preparation of journal entries, expense and balance sheet account analyses, and financial disclosure support. The Staff Accountant will review the internal control policies and procedures that pertain to the relevant areas of responsibility and ensure that these internal control policies and procedures are followed. The Staff Accountant role will be focused on building an eventual career development path to Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Key player in the Corporate month-end close process, through account reconciliation, general ledger, and consolidation support.
  • Contribute to on a monthly and quarterly basis the completion of judgmental accounting/reconciliation areas as part of the close.
  • Assist with the company's internal financial reporting needs including variance analysis.
  • Work with Big 4 audit team to help support efforts associated with audit, quarterly reviews and SOX testing efforts.
  • Support the maintenance and updates of Corporate accounting policies.
  • Develop into a key resource in cross-functional ERP knowledge to support the training of other accounting team members, and to enhance existing desktop procedures as part of the monthly close process.
  • Identification of opportunities to improve and standardize processes/internal controls across the organization to improve efficiencies and contribute to potential cost reductions.
  • Provide assistance to other departments within the organization with specific requests or initiatives related to area of responsibility.
  • Assist with other special projects, analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives, as needed.



Qualifications:



  • Education:


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting


  • Experience:


    • At least one year experience with similar noted Corporate accounting experience
    • Have a solid understanding of accounting principles with the ability to effectively apply them to work performed.
    • Have strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze large amounts of data
    • Have excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Experienced in monthly financial closings and variance analysis a plus.
    • Account reconciliation experience.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict monthly close reporting requirements.
    • Holds self-accountable to achieving individual and team goals.



The annual US salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 base salary. This range represents NETSCOUT's good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary within or, in some cases, outside this range based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.

Please note that the posted salary range may span multiple career levels. Final compensation and job level will be determined during the interview process, based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and alignment with the scope and expectations of the role.
