Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a sales professional with a hunting mentality to join us as a Director, Industrial Print - Inkjet! This role will own new business development and capital equipment sales for Konica Minolta production inkjet solutions.. Responsibilities

  • Build a territory plan targeting commercial printers, direct mail providers, packaging producers, in-plants, and existing customers with expansion potential.
  • Personally prospect, secure executive-level customer meetings, and develop new qualified opportunities rather than relying solely on channel referrals.

  • Manage competitive positioning, pricing discipline, financing coordination, executive approvals, contracts, and customer-confirmed close plans.
  • Collaborate with Direct and Dealer sales teams without transferring accountability for territory pipeline or deal progression.
Performance and operating expectations
  • Own an annual equipment sales quota and create sufficient qualified pipeline to support it.
  • Maintain a field-focused schedule, targeting at least three customer-facing days per week as territory conditions permit.
  • Use Salesforce to record meaningful customer engagement, accurate opportunity stages, next steps, forecast dates, and close risks.
  • Follow the required sales process: discovery and ROI, NDA before protected samples, demonstration/validation before proposal where applicable, and approval before concessions.
  • Bring well-supported pricing or commercial requests only when the customer decision process, mutual commitments, and path to signature are clear.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline reviews with specific actions to create new business and advance qualified opportunities.

Travel and territory: Regular travel throughout the assigned geography is required.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of commercial print production, digital inkjet economics, print workflows, substrates, and competitive press technologies.
  • Ability to present financial analyses and engage owners, CEO, COO & CFOs, operations executives, and production leadership.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience selling sheetfed production inkjet, offset, or high-volume digital production presses.
  • Established relationships in commercial print, direct mail, packaging, or in-plant production.
