Position Summary Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste Read route sheets and service each customer as assigned by the dispatcher Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections including fluids, safety equipment, and tires Handle a physically demanding role including loading and unloading, sometimes without helpers Operate hydraulic controls to lift and load refuse and dispose at designated facilities Provide professional and courteous service to customers Perform other job-related duties as assigned Schedule Monday through Friday Occasional Saturdays as needed Average 50 hour work week Job Requirements Valid Class A or B CDL with no restrictions Must be able to operate both manual and automatic trucks At least 2 years of work experience with a stable work history, preferably in a driving role Ability to lift 50 plus pounds Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Garbage truck experience is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision coverage Flexible spending account Long term disability Life insurance 401k retirement plan Unlimited opportunities to Connect with Your Future Stable, year round work Apply today and Connect with Your Future Waste Connections is an Affirmative Action Equal Opportunity Employer Minority Female Disabled Veterans
