As a member of Client Services (IT Service Desk) unit, provide IT services and support to the College of Nursing Faculty and Staff. Services include, but are not limited to: New User IT Onboarding, Deliver and setup systems and accessories, Access Management using Active Directory and other systems, IT Consultation, User Training/Education, Document and Update user guides for IT Services, Assist users with campus provided IT tools/services as appropriate and User IT Offboarding. Support include tier 1 technical support for computing systems and accessories, day to day IT operational support through ticketing system or phone or in person. Job also requires coordination with campus IT, as needed to provide and support the campus IT services to the college faculty and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provides day-to-day IT Operational support.
  • Uses the RT ticketing system to manage the support requests, and also responds to the requests made in person and
    via phone.
  • Ensures tickets are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with other CON-IT staff and campus IT, as needed, to address the IT requests.
  • Ensures IT operations are conducted in accordance with the campus and college policies.
  • Responsible for IT onboarding and off-boarding.
  • Responsible for system and accessories setup and tier 1 support.
  • Identifies trends in support requests and recommends appropriate interventions to mitigate the issues before
    they become a crisis.
  • Contributes towards developing a knowledge base of common IT needs, issues, and resolutions.
  • Makes sure the IT service desk is meeting the user expectations.
  • Provides User training as needed.
  • Brings to the supervisor's attention any IT-related concerns and needs identified as part of day-to-day operations.
  • Assists colleagues as needed.
  • Provides suggestions to improve the visibility and productivity of the group.
  • Participates in the staff development activities/committees.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  2. Minimum 1 years of professional IT experience within IT Support Services which includes demonstrated experience providing end-user technical and troubleshooting support with computer hardware, software and classroom technologies within desktop and networking environments via, telephone, ticketing systems and/or onsite resolution.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Relevant Certifications (MCSE, Comp TIAA, Network, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Windows scripting (PowerShell)
  • Skills related to IT Client Services (Customer service/support)
