American Commercial Barge Line is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for executing daily sales contracts. This role involves negotiating ancillary services and resolving invoice disputes directly with customers. The specialist will assist in barge capacity planning processes and provide support for internal stakeholder presentations and reports. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for maintaining positive customer relationships and ensuring smooth operations.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT



  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with customers through meaningful and consistent content.
  • Manage the demand book for ACBL portfolio of customers.
  • Mentor other customer experience Team Members.
  • Provide market intelligence, leads, and opportunities gained through daily interactions.
  • Act as customer's advocate inside of ACBL with all stakeholders.
  • Lead and advocate for the use of the customer portal internally and externally.
  • Settle invoice discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Lead customer meetings throughout the year with ACBL portfolio of customers to improve the overall relationship with the customers and develop and execute strategic plans to achieve client goals and objectives.
  • Assist with creation and delivery of reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Represent ACBL at functions and outings with the goal of strengthening brand and developing new customer partnerships.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Even better if you have:



  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Sales or related fields (preferred)
  • 5-8 years of industry related experience
