Job Summary

NRG is seeking a detailoriented and proactive Talent and Culture Generalist for a 6-month contract term, with the possibility of extension. This role will support the HR Business Partner team serving NRG Consumer and Corporate groups. This role focuses on providing highquality operational, administrative, and project support that enables Talent and Culture Business Partners to concentrate on strategic priorities.

The Talent and Culture Generalist will assist with delegated tasks related to employee relations case support, learning and development coordination, compensation and job data administration, organizational design and HR assessments and reporting. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment, enjoys problemsolving, and is eager to grow their HR expertise across multiple functional areas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide daytoday HR operational support to key Talent and Culture Business Partners by managing delegated tasks and ensuring timely, accurate execution.
  • Assist with employee relations case management, including documentation, scheduling, followup actions, and maintaining confidential records.
  • Support learning and development initiatives by coordinating training logistics, tracking participation, preparing materials, and assisting with project timelines.
  • Conduct compensationrelated administrative tasks such as gathering job data, preparing spreadsheets, validating information, and supporting job description updates.
  • Prepare HR reports and dashboards by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from HR systems to support business insights and decisionmaking.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including promotions, transfers, new hires, and organizational changes, ensuring compliance with internal processes and audit requirements.
  • Assist with workforce planning documentation, open position tracking, and coordination with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Organizational Development and any other Talent & Culture centers of excellence, as needed.
  • Provide responsive customer service to employees and managers by addressing routine HR questions and directing them to appropriate resources or selfservice tools.
  • Support HR programs and initiatives such as engagement activities, recognition programs, and HR process improvements.
  • Participate in special projects and crossfunctional initiatives as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an HR support, HR coordinator, or generalist role within a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience handling confidential information and supporting employeerelated matters.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain thorough documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRMCP) preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as SuccessFactors.
  • Experience in a large corporate, utilities, or energy company is a plus.

Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment law basics, and company policies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with HR team members and interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • High ethical standards and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple stakeholders.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in office (Monday-Thursday), 1 day remote (Friday).
  • Ability to work in an open office environment with regular computer use.
  • Minimal travel as required.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule based on business needs.
