Summary of Role

We are seeking an Business Insights & Strategy Associate Director who will support the Cardiology & NETs franchises. This role will partner closely with U.S. commercial teams to generate market-specific insights gathered from primary market research, secondary data analysis, and competitive intelligence to create integrated and actionable insights for key customer/stakeholder groups. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a commercial insights position within a diagnostic, medical device, biotech, pharmaceutical company. The Associate Director will create insights and deepen Lantheus's market knowledge that will be the foundation for driving growth and commercializing new products.

This position is based in Bedford, Massachusetts and requires presence on-site three days per week. The position is open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Responsibilities



  • Partner with brand leads and relevant cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Tech Ops, Finance) to design hypothesis-driven research plans and generate insights to inform and support commercial strategy.
  • Execute foundational primary & secondary research to support commercialization of pipeline products and ongoing insights to support in-line products (e.g. DEFINITY).
  • Lead competitive & business intelligence support for the brand planning process, including market outlook and situation assessments.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the long-range planning (LRP) models and provide assumptions that inform short- and long-term forecasts.
  • Proactively scope key business questions, generate hypotheses, independently design studies/analyses, and generate insights for the business.
  • Generate compelling recommendations and stories that link data, market insights, and business nuance into clear presentations and talk tracks
  • Own the annual insights budget for the franchises you support.
  • Manage third party vendors, as required, to support competitive intelligence gathering and market research engagements.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required in this role (up to 25%) to attend brand-relevant conferences and symposia.


Basic Qualifications



  • 7+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, commercial strategy or related functions (insights, consulting, commercial operations) in life sciences required
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative primary market research methodologies
  • Strategic thinking and solutions-oriented mindset with ability to interpret ambiguous requests and problem solve independently
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills with an ability to troubleshoot and solve complex business operations challenges
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and technical teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated vendor management experience (e.g. market research consultants, competitive intel vendors)
  • BS/BA required in related fields. Advanced degree preferred

The pay range for this position is between $139,000 $232,000 annually.

Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Employees in this position are eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash incentive, and depending on the level of the role may be eligible for a discretionary annual equity award. Benefits for this position include a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Other offerings include life and disability benefits, pre-tax accounts, a 401(k) with company contribution, and a variety of other benefits.
