Description and Requirements

About Our Team

We are looking for an experienced Internal Communications leader to shape how Lenovo's AI ecosystem - including Qira - is understood, adopted, and championed by employees globally.

This role goes beyond communications. The mission is to turn employees into informed, confident ambassadors of our AI products, strategy, and vision.

You will own and evolve the systems, channels, and rhythms that keep teams aligned, informed, and inspired - connecting product innovation to employee understanding, and internal clarity to external credibility.

You will partner across Product, People, GTM, Brand, and Corporate Communications to deliver clear, timely, and trustworthy communication that scales across Lenovo and Motorola organizations.

Location: This role can be based in Morrisville, NC or Chicago, IL. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).

What You'll Do

1. Internal Narrative & Messaging Systems

  • Define and maintain the internal narrative for Lenovo & Motorola Qira and the AI ecosystem
  • Build, own and evolve a central messaging system (SharePoint hub, Living FAQ, messaging repository) as the single source of truth for internal employees
  • Ensure messaging stays current with product roadmap updates and market context
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, accessible internal language

2. Always-On Internal Communications Engine

  • Own the company-wide internal communications content editorial calendar aligned to product launches, milestones, and key moments
  • Lead recurring communication cadences:
    • Monthly leadership newsletters
    • Monthly and quarterly employee communications touchpoints
    • Product and feature updates
    • Cross-team briefings
    • Partner with site communications site employee events
  • Plug into and optimize existing Lenovo channels (intranet, Viva Engage, all-hands, etc.) while identifying new engagement opportunities

3. Enablement & Internal Experience

  • Develop scalable enablement tools:
    • Manager cascade toolkits
    • Internal slide templates and briefing materials
    • FAQ and response frameworks
  • Ensure employees and teams can confidently represent Qira and AI initiatives

4. Change, Launch & Moment-Based Communications

  • Support key moments including:
    • Product launches and feature rollouts
    • Organizational changes and transformations
    • Major company events (e.g., kickoffs, forums, leadership updates)
  • Design communication sequencing and channel strategy for maximum clarity and impact

5. Employee Advocacy & Employer Brand

  • Build programs that turn employees into credible advocates for Lenovo's AI ecosystem
  • Connect internal understanding to:
    • External storytelling
    • Social advocacy
    • Employer brand strength
  • Partner with People and Brand teams to reinforce culture, mission, and innovation narrative

6. Leadership & Executive Communications

  • Partner with senior leaders to shape executive voice and communication strategy
  • Develop:
    • Executive talking points
    • All-hands narratives
    • Presentation frameworks and storytelling
    • Explore opportunities with business unit executive leader's all-hands as guest speaker/ topics
  • Ensure consistent leadership messaging across global teams

7. Feedback Loops & Insights

  • Establish structured feedback mechanisms:
    • Employee sentiment and understanding
    • Internal adoption signals
    • Communication effectiveness
  • Partner with Research and Analytics teams to continuously improve messaging and channels

8. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the central connector across:

    • People/HR (culture, engagement, change)
    • GTM & Sales teams (field alignment)
    • Brand & Corporate Communications (consistency and amplification)
  • Advise stakeholders on messaging, sequencing, and channel strategy

What Success Looks Like

  • Employees clearly understand Lenovo and Motorola Qira, AI ecosystem strategy, and their role in it
  • Strong adoption of AI Ecosystem content from internal messaging systems (SharePoint hub, newsletters, FAQs, toolkits)
  • Consistent, high-quality internal communications cadence across global teams
  • Increased employee advocacy and confidence in representing AI products
  • Faster alignment across Product, GTM, and Brand teams
  • Measurable improvement in internal engagement and clarity
