Job Description

General Summary:

Vertex is seeking a talented team member to join our Global Commercial Strategy (GCS) team and work on strategic planning for povetacicept. Pove is a pipeline in a molecule with our first launch in IgA nephropathy followed by additional indications.

The associate director, strategic planning will be responsible for driving strategy and planning across pove commercialization, delivery of high quality executive level presentations and independently lead marketing projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • * Driving key executive committee deliverables including competitive tracker and implications

    * Cross-indication presentations, EC/CC/DST/town hall deck support

    * Driving agenda and managing the global-us-international commercialization team including follow ups, building alignment and ensuring team is accountable for deliverables

    * Multi-indication and lifecycle budget planning and management

    * Lead customer panel for global strategic council end-to-end: contracting, insights, relationship building

    * 1-2 discrete marketing projects to support development and business needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to oversee generation of insights and apply those insights to business problems/opportunities and make strategic recommendations
  • Strong communication skills-verbal and written to support executive presentations
  • Analytical mindset, with demonstrated ability to lead others to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, make strategic recommendations, and monitor performance
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications, including PPT, Excel and Word
  • Experience in pharmaceutical marketing or closely related field(s) (e.g., pharmaceutical sales, ad agency, consulting etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Typically requires 7-10 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range:

$196,000 - $294,000

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
