Test Engineer - Temp Position

Raymond, OH | $37.00 - $42.50/hr | Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer for a temporary opportunity

supporting automotive vehicle and ECU testing in Raymond, OH. This role is ideal for candidates with automotive electrical systems experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a background in vehicle validation, diagnostics, and test engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and validation activities for automotive components and systems
• Perform vehicle and lab-based testing to verify product performance and design requirements
• Analyze test data, identify failures, and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare test equipment, collect results, and create technical reports and presentations
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, circuits, and diagnostic data
• Work cross-functionally with suppliers, manufacturing, service, and engineering teams
• Support structured development and testing processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred
• 6 years of related experience may replace degree requirement
• 5+ years of test engineering experience required
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems and ECUs
• Experience with diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, and vehicle testing equipment
• Familiarity with CAN tools, MATLAB, C/C#, or embedded systems is a plus
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to work onsite with occasional overtime and limited travel
