To support our continued expansion, we are seeking a high-performing, strategic, commercially driven Director of Business Strategy and Marketing to join our Carbon & Silica Technologies (CST) business.

The Director of Business Strategy and Marketing leads the strategy, M&A, segment marketing, new product development activities for CST within Cabot's Performance Chemicals Segment. This role is responsible for defining and executing the mid- to long-term strategy of the business to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership. The position leads market, customer, and product segmentation activities, while partnering closely with commercial, technology, and R&D teams to advance innovation pipelines from ideation through commercialization. In addition, the role is accountable for competitive intelligence, market analysis, and identifying strategic growth opportunities globally, including partnerships, portfolio expansion, and evolving market trends.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead Strategy activities for the business including developing and articulating long range strategy/plan, developing views on industry landscape, conducting competitor analysis, and driving business development in areas such as partnership/acquisition
  • Develop and execute global segment marketing strategies across key market segments by leading Global Segment Managers and leveraging Regional Marketing Managers to drive profitable growth and customer engagement.
  • Partner closely with Application Development, Technology, and R&D teams to drive new product development initiatives from ideation through successful commercialization.
  • Manage marketing communications activities for the business leveraging segment and corporate Marketing and Communications resources as well as Regional Marketing Managers
  • Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.

  • Leadership and influencing skills: ability to motivate, inspire and energize people and build strong teams;
  • Analytical skills and ability to understand interdependencies and cause and effect relationships, synthesize learnings, and develop insights. Adept at organizing and connecting seemingly unrelated ideas

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor degree in science, engineering or business required. MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, business development, or commercial leadership roles, with a demonstrated track record of driving growth and delivering business results.
  • Strong business acumen combined with bias for action and results orientation
  • Strong customer centric approach with the ability to build strong relationships, understand market needs, and drive value-focused solutions.

How We'll Support Your Success:

  • The pay range for this role is from $192,150 - $278,700. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skill, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on your performance and company performance.
