POSITION SUMMARY



The Assistant Director leads a cross-functional team, executing the SOC Director's directives and managing SOC personnel across Clients' three SOCs. The Assistant Director acts as the primary liaison between the Director and SOC Supervisors, ensuring smooth communication and strong relationships with asset teams and vendors. The Assistant Director makes command decisions in the Director's absence, oversees daily operations, plans majoreventsand handles information flow between SOCs and senior management. The Assistant Director must haveexpertisein developing intelligence-driven support products, assessing risks, and analyzing data. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and effective communication are essential, as is the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and provide constructive feedback. The Assistant Director alsooverseesaccess control systems, ensuring effective badging processes and high security standards, and must be available on-call for urgent issues, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversee daily operations of Clients' three SOCs, serving as the direct link between SOC Supervisors and the Director.


  • Build strong relationships with asset teams and vendors and represent SOC management in meetings at SOC campuses.


  • Manage information flow between SOCs, senior management, and asset teams.


  • Handle command decisions in the Director's absence.


  • Screen and manage daily and weekly products before submission to the Supervisory Intelligence Analyst and/or the Director.


  • Plan for major Client and tenant events and coordinatelogistics*Oversee onboarding and training ofnew staffand mentor newly promoted Supervisors.


  • Create andmaintaintraining programs and SOPs across all SOC personnel levels.


  • Become a subject matter expert onnew technologies.


  • Collaborate with other SOCs to develop and implement nationwide SOPs for SOC capabilities and outputs.


  • Manage scheduling for all three SOCs, including backfilling positions during critical events and providing coverage during the Director's absence.


  • Ensure 24/7coverage and adjust resources in response to operationalneeds.


  • Consolidate, review, and approve criminal activity and incident reports, and prepare and present briefings to management.


  • Analyze and assess risks to Clients' personnel, operations, and brand reputation


  • Develop intelligence-driven support products.


  • Manage andutilizeVideo Surveillance Systems (VSS), access control, and alarm monitoring systems daily


  • Handle confidential information andmaintainequipment accountability.


  • Other services and support as needed.
  • The position may require extensive sitting for long periods of time, watching monitors, walking around the facility outside in rain, wind or other poor weather conditions and kneeling and stooping to look under or inside vehicles or containers.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle safely.



QUALIFICATIONS




  • Must have aBachelor'sdegree with a minimum of 5 years of security experience, including documented competency in access control/ID systems and/or access control management.


  • A relevantBachelor's Degree(e.g., International Relations, Police Science, Business Management, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Security Studies, Homeland Security, Emergency and Disaster Management, Security Management) or equivalent experience is preferred.


  • Supervisory experience in law enforcement, military, interagency, or security operations centers is preferred.


  • Experience managing shift work employees, including scheduling, resource adjustments, and pay monitoring.


  • Strong leadership abilities and a passion for analysis, problem-solving, and advising decisionmakers.


  • Proficiencyin MS Office applications; experience with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus


  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in stressful situations


  • Experience using VSS and alarm monitoring software in coordination with a communications center or Security Operations Center


  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.


  • Strong problem-solving skills, active listening, and the ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively


  • Proficiencywith data visualization tools and the ability to compile, sort, interpret, and present data


  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential information andmaintain a high levelof discretion
  • Must have close visual and audio acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; determining the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work; or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract.
  • Must be able to enter, exit, and operate a vehicle safely.
