The Loudoun County Office of Elections and Voter Registration is seeking Assistant Registrars to join our team on a part-time intermittent basis! Our office manages all federal, state, and local elections for the voters of Loudoun County, and is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible voters have the right to cast their vote safely, securely, and efficiently. Job Summary

Assistant Registrars serve on a part-time intermittent basis around elections and assist with various tasks related to the successful conduct of elections in Loudoun County. The successful candidates will assist office staff in areas such as mail voting, early voting, voter registration, customer service, or election preparations. The bulk of the work for Assistant Registrars is in the 8 weeks prior and 2 weeks following each election, plus intermittent work throughout the year to support various office functions as needed. Hours will vary depending on the workload anticipated for each election and office needs. Assistant Registrars are an integral part of the Office of Elections team and help to ensure that each election is conducted successfully and that all registered voters can exercise their right to vote.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience with computer automated systems and Microsoft Office applications experience; prefer elections related experience in a government environment.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Criminal, credit, and DMV background checks are required. All staff in the Office of Elections may be required to work overtime around elections and this will include evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
