We Require

  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and clerical duties

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Experience working in other county or municipal permit-issuing environments

Job Contributions

  • Review incoming applications for completeness and apply MCDOT permitting regulations and procedures

  • Advise applicants on permit approvals and application progress while providing high-quality customer service

  • Coordinate reviews with all internal department disciplines

  • Process customer permit fees and extension requests

  • Establish and maintain customer data and enter information into databases.

  • Research, collect, and analyze data as assigned

  • Other job duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, or requires walking or standing to a significant degree

  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
