The CMC Development Intern supports Product Development, Strategic Operations, Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) and Analytical Science and Technology (ASAT) workstreams within the CMC organization. This internship provides handson exposure to CMC technical activities, documentation, and data analysis while contributing to pilot projects focused on evaluating and enabling artificial intelligence (AI) tools for CMC use cases. The intern serves as the primary liaison between CMC and a centralized AIfocused group, translating CMC needs into defined tasks, coordinating beta testing, and summarizing outcomes for CMC scientists and leadership DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. - Provide general technical and operational support to Product Development, Strategic Operations, MSAT and ASAT activities under the guidance of CMC teammates, including data compilation, basic analysis, and document preparation.
- Assist with CMCrelated investigations, assessments, or improvement initiatives by organizing background information, reviewing historical data, and summarizing findings.
- Support preparation, review, and maintenance of CMC technical documentation, presentations, and reports in accordance with internal quality and data integrity expectations.
- Act as the CMC pointofcontact to a centralized AI intern group by receiving defined CMC tasks, questions, or pilot concepts and communicating required context, inputs, and success criteria.
- Coordinate and participate in beta testing of AIenabled tools or workflows relevant to MSAT, ASAT, or broader CMC activities.
- Collect, organize, and summarize results from AI pilot activities and report outcomes, limitations, and recommendations back to CMC stakeholders.
- Track assigned tasks, timelines, and deliverables; communicate progress and issues to supervising CMC staff.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional partners as needed while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and data handling practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or a closely related engineering or scientific discipline.
- Fundamental understanding of scientific principles, data analysis, and scientific documentation.
- Proficiency with common productivity and data tools (e.g., Microsoft Office applications); ability to learn new digital or analytical tools quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize technical information clearly.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments in a structured manner.
- Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing, analytical sciences, and the application of AI or digital tools in scientific workflows.
