Job Summary

The Facilities Technician III is responsible for maintaining building systems, equipment, and utilities to support a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace environment. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, DI-RO water, electrical, and plumbing systems. The position also supports clean room operations, vendor coordination, and facility improvement projects within a GMP-regulated environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems and equipment
  • Maintain HVAC, compressed air, DI-RO water, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Support clean room maintenance and ensure compliance with GMP and ISO standards
  • Complete and document maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems
  • Manage work orders, facility repairs, and improvement projects
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services
  • Assist with equipment and furniture moves and installations
  • Monitor facility systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
  • Follow GMP change control processes and facility procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records using Microsoft Office and maintenance software
  • Participate in on-call support rotation as required


Job Requirements



  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment required
  • Familiarity with GMP change processes, ISO standards, and work order systems
  • Experience maintaining clean room environments required
  • Strong knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and water systems
  • Experience using computerized maintenance systems and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to manage vendors and support facility-related projects
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond to urgent maintenance issues
  • Availability to participate in on-call rotation required


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training or certification in facilities maintenance or related field preferred


Work Experience



  • 1-2 years of experience in a GMP or regulated facility environment required
  • Experience in hospital, semiconductor, clean room, or similar technical environments preferred
