Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician supports production operations for new product launches by troubleshooting equipment, improving manufacturing processes, and assisting with daily production activities. This role works closely with assemblers, engineers, and maintenance teams to ensure production efficiency, product quality, and equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position also supports process improvements, yield investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with FDA and quality system requirements. Job Responsibilities
- Support production operations as a front-line process and equipment technician
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and investigate process-related issues
- Assist with manufacturing process improvements, tooling, fixtures, and equipment modifications
- Support new product introductions and production launches
- Coach and assist assemblers with manufacturing and testing procedures
- Interpret test data, analyze product performance, and support yield improvement activities
- Perform scrap dissection and assist with root cause investigations
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to support equipment uptime and production continuity
- Communicate production issues, process updates, and shift handoff information effectively
- Recommend improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction
- Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, QMS, EMS, and company procedures
- Support cross-functional teams and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, trade school certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent training in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field
- 1-4 years of manufacturing technician experience required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to teach, coach, and support production employees
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Flexibility to support overtime or alternate shifts when needed preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Trade school certification or specialized technical training preferred
Work Experience
- 1-4 years of manufacturing technician experience required
- Medical device manufacturing experience preferred but not required
