  • The hourly base pay range for this position in Colorado is $24.00 - $25.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Airgas considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

As a Cylinder Filler, you will fill high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical, and Mixes) following established compression temperature and pressure guidelines.

  • You will be responsible for filling high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical, and Mixes) utilizing the compression temperature / pressure process.

  • Manage and safely navigate equipment used for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.

  • Take ownership of all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests to ensure quality before cylinders are released.

  • Safeguard the condition of our cylinders - identifying those requiring maintenance or repair and ensuring they are cared for before returning to service.

  • Regularly monitor and maintain pumping apparatus along with associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices to ensure peak performance.

  • Fill cylinders or containers to the appropriate pressure or weight, ensuring accuracy and safety.

  • Maintain clear and accurate cylinder filling records, following all procedures to remain in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Collaborate with the team on loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers as needed.

  • Contribute to inventory management, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and build positive relationships with customers when providing service.

  • Support the team by making deliveries when a primary driver is unavailable.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire.

  • Must have a clean MVR.

  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.

  • Ability to perform very heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.

  • Ability to operate and obtain forklift certification.

  • Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documents.

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior delivery driver experience.

  • Prior forklift experience
