Tax Reporting and Compliance Specialist - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Tax Reporting and Compliance Specialist for a hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a hybrid 6 month contract opportunity that requires 3-4 days per week on-site.

Pay Rate: $20.03 per hour

This role provides operational support for the preparation and maintenance of tax records, returns, and reports for internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will support the coordination of tax-related regulatory filings and perform quality assurance of tax deliverables in a financial services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support for the preparation and maintenance of tax records, returns, and reports
• Support the coordination of tax-related regulatory filings
• Gather required data elements for various regulatory filings and provide status updates
• Implement system and operational modifications to comply with regulatory changes
• Update tax forms and information return layouts
• Perform first-level quality assurance of tax deliverables
• Track data needed for tax calculations
• Open, separate, and assign reference numbers to physical tax documentation
• Scan tax documents and upload to the internal tracking tool
• Record Generic Certificates of Residency in the internal application
• Review work of junior team members and resolve data discrepancies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a business discipline preferred
• 2-3 years of total work experience
• Experience in financial services or related field is preferred
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule, 3-4 days in the office
• Must be prepared for potential overtime based on volume

Desired skills:

• Documentation experience
• W8/W9 tax form processing experience is a bonus
