Hands on training opportunity in Front Office and Housekeeping for someone to learn various aspects of the hotel business. This position is a "utility player" who will rotate throughout various departments and positions based upon business need. Omni Care Interns are provided a summer internship opportunity that may result in acceptance into our LID (Leader in Development) program at the end of the summer season based upon performance.



Essential Functions & Responsibilities:



  • To be thoroughly acquainted with all check-in/checkout policies and procedures.
  • To be familiar with guest scenarios in front office and in BOH housekeeping.
  • To be familiar with all technical equipment related to the Front Desk and Housekeeping
  • To be familiar with all hotel facilities.
  • Understanding and adherence to Selling Strategy
  • To be familiar with general organization set-up.
  • To be familiar with the inter-relationship between the different departments.
  • Must be familiar with shift checklists and be able to run the desk in absence of the manager
  • Managing/or participating on cross function teams
  • Assisting with the Omni's long term vison and planning process
  • Evaluate performance and develop plans for improvement
  • Assessing all aspects of competitors brand and recommend strategies to compete more efficiently.
  • Flexible in working various entry level service positions within the property
  • Position will rotate between front office and housekeeping. Additional departments/roles may be added based on business needs.
  • Attend to and anticipate guests' needs.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in scheduling.
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Operations leader.



Hotel Specific Essential Functions




  • Must be familiar with Opera PMS, voice mail system, Avaya telephone systems
  • Must complete 1 MOS Audit Per Day and Maintain Tracking Board.



Qualifications:



  • Must be currently enrolled as a student with a focus in hospitality/tourism/ business
  • Must have superior leadership abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated to achieve goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks with ease.
  • Must be detail and results orientated with proven track record of success.
