Overview: This team member is responsible for maintaining the highest service standards by ensuring efficient food delivery, table maintenance, and overall dining room cleanliness. This role supports both front-of-house service and guest satisfaction through quick, professional, and attentive service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional service to all guests to ensure an exceptional dining experience
- Deliver food and beverages accurately and in a timely manner using table and seat numbers
- Communicate effectively with guests, servers, and kitchen staff
- Maintain full knowledge of the menu, including the ability to explain dishes when serving
- Bus and reset tables quickly with clean linens, china, silverware, and glassware
- Assist servers by refilling beverages and attending to guest needs
- Set up and break down dining areas, side stations, and service areas
- Stock supplies, maintain ice levels, and ensure stations are fully prepared
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation standards are followed, including proper use of gloves
- Clean and maintain service equipment, trays, dishware, and beverage stations
- Inspect and maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned stations and dining areas
- Transport food from the kitchen to dining areas and ensure expo items are properly handled
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant operations and resort property (if applicable)
- Follow attendance, punctuality, grooming, and uniform standards
- Complete all assigned side work before clocking out
- Attend required meetings and training sessions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food runner or busser role, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weight
- Must have or obtain valid Food Handler's and TABC certifications upon hire
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety, guest service standards, and basic food allergies is a plus
