Job Summary

Manages transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Analyzes transportation routes and methods to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborates with carriers and internal teams to resolve transportation issues and maintain compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plans and coordinates scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments, working with internal teams and external partners to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Develops distinct transportation plans to address unique or challenging delivery requirements, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Communicates with the Operations teams, carriers, and customers to ensure timely resolution of transportation issues and delays.
  • Evaluates performance of logistics partners and carriers, providing recommendations for improvements and contract adjustments.
  • Performs transportation data analysis to identify inefficiencies and suggests improvements to optimize routes and reduce costs.
  • Deploys working knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards, including safety, to support business operations.
  • Implements transportation policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to company standards and local regulations.
  • Documents all transportation activities, including shipment tracking, costs, and carrier performance, for reporting and analysis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
