Job Description




As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Overnight Shift in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.81 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help support a professional atmosphere for patients and staff.
  • Support daily operations by reporting maintenance concerns, monitoring restricted areas, and following post orders and incident response protocols as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Required hospital vaccinations and proof of vaccination are required.
  • This position may involve work in a hospital morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
