Job # IT26002 Job Title IT Asset Specialist Office Location Roanoke, VA or Katy, TX preferred Business Function/Department IT/Infrastructure Sales Territory, if applicable N/A General Role Description Lead and execute lifecycle planning and asset and license management of IT hardware and software to ensure alignment with organizational needs, including demand forecasting and financial visibility through MRP participation Role Accountabilities - Lead and execute processes for IT asset and software license lifecycle management, including planning, procurement coordination, deployment, maintenance, renewal, and retirement of hardware, software, and associated licenses - Ensure accurate tracking of IT hardware assets, software licenses, entitlements, and usage using approved systems and work processes - Forecast hardware, software, and licensing needs for budget and MRP planning, through cross-functional collaboration - Track and maintain financial data related to IT assets and software licenses, including costs, renewals, depreciation inputs, and utilization - Coordinate and lead asset and license inventory audits and support compliance with company standards, licensing agreements, and audit requirements - Maintain and update asset and license management records, ensuring data integrity and alignment with operational and financial requirements - Develop, test, and improve asset and license management procedures to optimize lifecycle execution, reduce downtime, and avoid compliance risk, in collaboration with infrastructure operations - Proactively identify opportunities for cost optimization, including license rightsizing, reuse, consolidation, and lifecycle extensions - Generate and deliver reports to appropriate personnel regarding asset and license status, compliance posture, costs, and planning effectiveness - Facilitate IT and business project execution with the timely and accurate provisioning of hardware, software, and licenses General Employee Accountabilities - Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager - Associate's degree in information technology, or related field, or equivalent via education and/or work experience - Demonstrated experience in IT asset lifecycle management, hardware planning, or software license management - Demonstrated experience managing inventory and executing hardware lifecycle processes - Demonstrated experience tracking asset and license data, including quantities, renewals, and cost-related information - Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts - Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills - Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and asset management platforms - Availability to travel domestically, less than 5%, sometimes with limited notice Preferred Qualifications -
