Security Officer - Campus Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer Campus Foot Patrol in Falls Church, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and caring approach while working as part of a team and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directional support, and related customer service needs while following healthcare location protocols and security-related post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
