JOB SUMMARY

The Test Supervisor oversees a team of test technicians and is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of in-house testing, component-level troubleshooting, configuration, calibration, and repair of Doble products. This position requires strong technical competency, leadership capability, and the ability to collaborate with internal departments and customers worldwide. The role is based at the Marlborough, MA headquarters and reports to the Senior Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Supervise, train, and mentor test technicians, support skill development and performance evaluations.
  • Prioritize and manage daily activities within the production floor.
  • Serve as a resource for troubleshooting and product support.
  • Support engineering and operations with prototype and pre-production build activities.
  • Identify and document product and process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist Quality teams in investigations of field-reported issues.
  • Ability to hire and perform disciplinary action when needed, motivate and drive the business.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for making daily technical and quality-related decisions to support customer needs and ensure adherence to product standards.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:



  • Associate degree in Electronics or Electronic Technician Certificate required.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:



  • Prior supervisory or team-lead experience of 5 years.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):



  • Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DVMs, frequency counters).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and document component-level failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with installation/qualification protocols for hardware and software
  • Experience with high-voltage test equipment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Salary Pay Range Minimum $74,997.84 - Midpoint $93,747.30
