This opportunity is part of SEI's broader professional and leadership development continuum, designed to support early career talent as they explore potential career paths. IMS Centralized Reconciliation Overview:

Centralized Reconciliation is part of Investment Manager Services (IMS) and provides independent daily reconciliation services across cash and investment positions for institutional client portfolios. The team performs T+1 reconciliations by comparing internal accounting records against external sources such as custodians and brokers to identify and resolve discrepancies. Centralized Reconciliation serves as a key operational control, supporting NAV accuracy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance through standardized processes, documented resolution, and centralized oversight.

IMS Reconciliation Intern:

The Centralized Reconciliation Intern will support the daily reconciliation process for client portfolios by assisting with cash and position reconciliations across multiple asset classes. The intern will gain handson exposure to the full reconciliation lifecycle, including data preparation, exception identification, investigation, and resolution. Working alongside analysts and supervisors, the intern will help ensure that breaks between internal systems and external records are identified, documented, and routed appropriately, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of client reporting.

On a daytoday basis, the intern will assist with reviewing reconciliation output, organizing and updating exception trackers, and validating supporting documentation from custodians, brokers, or internal systems. The intern will support analysts during rootcause investigations by gathering data, confirming transaction details, and documenting resolution steps within established tools and workflows such as EZOPS. Additional responsibilities may include supporting daily and monthend reporting, maintaining audit trails, and assisting with dashboards or summaries used by the team to monitor aged breaks and reconciliation status. This role provides practical exposure to operational controls, financial data analysis, and crossteam collaboration within a centralized reconciliation environment.

Criteria:
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field

  • Coursework in financial accounting, investments, or audit concepts preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and reconcile financial data

  • Comfortable working with large data sets in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and document work clearly for audit and review purposes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadlinedriven, daily production environment

  • Willingness to ask questions and escalate unresolved issues appropriately

  • Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate with analysts, supervisors, and partner teams

  • Prior exposure to reconciliation, accounting, or operational controls is a plus, but not required.
