Security Officer Patrol Ambassador

As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Auburn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff. You will support daily operations through strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor customer and visitor activity, assist with access and crowd flow, and support store personnel with security-related concerns and/or policy-related issues.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations, and communicate with local leadership and first responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
