Job Description

Allstate is hiring for a VP of Business Development specifically for Allstate Roadside Services. Skills in prospecting for new business, contract negotiation, business presentation as well as strategy building to execution will be critical in this opportunity. This role is accountable for identifying, securing, and launching new B2B partnerships within assigned industry verticals. And will lead the business development lifecycle from prospecting and partner engagement through deal negotiation, contracting, and launch support, ensuring new programs are executable, approved, and ready to scale.

The selected incumbent will partner closely with Partnerships, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other crossfunctional teams to structure viable agreements and drive successful implementations, while also leading leadership discussions and securing required approvals through clear business cases and financial justification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and establish relationships with new B2B partners across designated industry verticals.

  • Develop and deliver compelling partnership pitches that clearly communicate AR capabilities, differentiators, and value propositions to prospective B2B partners.

  • Using indepth industry and company knowledge, develop and negotiate customized contracts and business terms that align with AR business objectives and enable scalable partnerships.

  • Effectively engage AR leadership and crossfunctional teams to gather deal input, incorporate feedback, and secure required approvals.

  • Build, manage, and prioritize a strategic B2B opportunity pipeline, focusing effort on partnerships with the highest potential impact and scalability.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners to develop tailored business development strategies and tactics that support verticalspecific growth and profit objectives.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and partner needs to inform positioning, deal strategy, and leadership recommendations.

  • Partner with B2B PR and Marketing teams to promote AR through targeted marketing and educational initiatives that support business development efforts across designated verticals.

  • Provide structured market and partner feedback to Product and Operations teams to inform roadmap prioritization and future B2B capabilities.

Education

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • 10 or more years of related experience (Preferred)

  • Contract negotiation - advance level

  • Business development

  • Strong B2B business development expertise, including prospecting, consultative selling, deal structuring, and contract negotiation in complex enterprise environments.

  • Executivelevel communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and business cases to external partners and internal leadership.

  • Strategic market and industry analysis capability, including evaluating vertical dynamics, competitive positioning, and partnership opportunities.

  • Financial and commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, contribution margin analysis, and development of commercially viable partnership models.

  • Proven crossfunctional collaboration and influence skills, aligning Partnerships, Operations, Finance, Legal, Product, and Technology teams to execute deals and launches.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize a disciplined B2B opportunity pipeline.

  • Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills, navigating complex approval processes and balancing partner needs with AR objectives.

  • Ability to operate independently as a senior individual contributor, driving outcomes without direct authority in a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives across distributed and virtual teams.

  • Ability to travel frequently to support business development opportunities is required.

Target Total Compensation:$177,600 - $244,000 per year (Base Pay + Performance-Based Incentives). Incentives are based on productivity and are not guaranteed. Payments are governed by the terms of the applicable sales bonus plan, which is subject to change at Allstate's discretion.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 124,320.00 - 170,940.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
