About the Role The Enterprise Communications & Engagement Intern will help advance internal communications that keep coworkers informed, engaged and connected to PG&E's mission of safety, reliability and service to our customers and communities. This role offers handson experience supporting companywide communications initiatives and events that tell PG&E's progress story and help coworkers be role models of our culture. The intern will work closely with communications and events professionals to help deliver clear, accessible messages and joyful experiences for diverse internal audiences. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.88 to $34.07 Key Responsibilities Support the development, drafting and editing of internal communications, particularly content for our internal daily newsletter, intranet news site, and other internal channels. Help maintain internal communication channels, including intranet pages and recurring coworker communications. Provide content and logistical support for coworker events, including our annual internal awards ceremony and quarterly town hall. Conduct research and background gathering to support messaging and content development. Collaborate with communications colleagues and other business partners to ensure messaging is accurate, timely and coworkerfocused. Assist with tracking engagement metrics and organizing feedback to help evaluate communication effectiveness. Contribute ideas to enhance coworker engagement, storytelling and communications practices. Learning Opportunities Exposure to enterpriselevel internal communications within a large, regulated utility Experience supporting communications tied to safety, utility operations and organizational change Development of professional writing, editing, content planning and event planning skills Insight into how PG&E engages coworkers across regions, functions and roles Mentorship from experienced communications and events professionals Qualifications Required: Currently enrolled in or recently as a graduate or undergraduate program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English or a related field Students must be continuing their education towards their degree during and/or after the internship in a full-time capacity and returning back to school in the fall of 2026. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to synthesize complex or technical information into clear, concise messages Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment Desired: Interest in internal communications, coworker engagement or corporate communications Familiarity with Microsoft-based communication platforms (e.g., intranets, collaboration tools, content management systems) Experience with editing, proofreading or content creation Interest in working for a missiondriven organization serving California communities A proactive, curious and collaborative team player Someone who values clarity, accuracy and audiencecentered communication A thoughtful communicator who is comfortable learning, asking questions and incorporating feedback PG&E is unable to provide VISA sponsorship to students on an F-1, J-1 or other student visa for this position. | |
