A Field Technician at West Central Environmental Consultants (WCEC) and SET Environmental is responsible to: Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to WCEC/SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards Take an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects Maintain, clean, and organize trucks and trailers Assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs Perform required duties in level A, B, C and D PPE including supplied air as necessary Exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs Work in a variety of weather conditions Support of various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to: Confined Space Entry - CSE Environmental remediation Waterway response Hazardous materials clean up Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary POSITION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent, preferred Must be over 21 years old 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call Basic computer skills Ability to perform physical labor under direction of crew leads Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required Valid Driver's License with good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements
