Salary: $18/hr

Responsibilities

  • Custom Turf is seeking a high energy, self-starter with a strong work ethic to join our team as an intern. This individual will be responsible for applying turf products to golf courses, lawns, sports complexes throughout the Evergreen FS territory. The job will include application of fertilizer, treatment of weeds, and performing other professional applications while ensuring amazing customer service.
  • Applies fertilizers and pesticides to athletic fields, commercial, municipal, and residential areas according to recommended rates, procedure and following all pesticide labels. Records application data according to regulations and standards.
  • Sets up material handling, blending, storage, transport and application equipment for blending and delivery of products. Blends products according to recommended rates and procedures.
  • This is a great opportunity for a hard-working individual with a love for working outdoors and the desire to grow within a stable company.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Normally requires high school diploma or equivalent and farm or agriculture experience helpful.
  • Must hold and maintain, or have the ability to obtain, all required pesticide or fertilizer licenses or certifications.
  • Frequently exposed or required to:
    • Outside weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.)
    • Working conditions may include chemicals with appropriate safety measures
    • May be required to work at varying heights
    • Lift (51-70 lbs)
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasonal demands.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
