Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist to join our Solar group to provide support for environmental management efforts. In this role, you will review environmental documentation and advise on environmental matters. Strong communication skills are essential as you will interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. Your ability to work well in a team and collaborate is vital to your success. Do you have environmental compliance experience identifying and disposal of hazardous waste, and managing & preventing contamination of soil, water, and air? This role involves developing and implementing environmental programs at Mortenson's solar project worksites. Location: Must be open to any location in the continental United States Travel: This is a regional position that will be supporting projects in a specified area. Preference for candidates located in AZ, TX, or NM. This is a 100% travel position. Mortenson hires for a career and not a project. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement the environmental program at each work site.
Provide resource of environmental related information
Collaborate with various third parties including the customer's environmental personnel, environmental consultants, regulatory representatives, insurance representatives, etc. Accompany environmental, health and safety, insurance and regulatory personnel on work site tours Ensure maintenance and inspection of environmental equipment Support the Project Manager with the management of the environmental budget allocated for project Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay range for this role is $98,800 - $133,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
