RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to development and optimization of wet chemical coating processes and materials for improved lens performance and functionality (e.g., organic siloxane and sol-gel chemistry).
- Support development of physical vapor deposition processes and coating structures, including optical modeling and characterization.
- Execute laboratory experiments independently and as part of cross-functional project teams.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data; prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Support scale-up and transition of new processes from development to pilot or production environments.
- Review technical literature and patents to support ongoing research activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams including project management, engineering, quality, and manufacturing.
- Participate in technical reviews and contribute to project updates.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: * Fluency in English (written and spoken). * Excellent communication and reporting skills are critical for this position. * Must be able to communicate appropriately with all levels of personnel within the organization. DESIRED SKILLS * Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies. * Exposure to optical thin-film modeling tools. * Familiarity with analytical modeling related to mechanical, thermal, or fluid mechanics behavior in coating systems. * Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills. Computer Skills: * MS Office proficiency. * Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software. * Matlab or equivalent technical computing experience preferred
