Job Summary:

This position will work with households that live in scattered site housing in the 7-county metro area as well as households supported by a church partnership in a site-based building in South Minneapolis. You will be responsible for documentation, record keeping, and fostering a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or equivalent experience in Human Services field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least two years of experience in providing direct or indirect social services preferred.
  • Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques - chemical dependency treatment and physical or sexual abuse treatment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Harm Reduction and Housing First Model.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, positively, and professionally with participants, providers, family members, and others.
  • Able to promote a positive, supportive, and collaborative atmosphere.
  • Previous experience working with low-income families and those experiencing homelessness preferred.
  • Training in working with low-income families and those who are homeless preferred.
  • Knowledge of related issues in chemical dependency, mental health, parenting, sex trafficking, and domestic violence preferred.
