Position Description Reporting to the MP&L Manager, the Shipping & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse operations, including shipping, inventory control, material handling, and overall warehouse organization. This role ensures that products are received accurately from the main plant, stored safely, and shipped on time while maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Through communication with and service of customers, develop relationships that distinguish Modine from our competition. Reporting to this position are the following functions: Office Clerks, Shipping and Service parts personnel Key Responsibilities Supervise daily shipping and warehouse activities. Ensure on-time, accurate order fulfillment and outbound shipments. Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts and controls. Coordinate outbound logistics with carriers and internal teams Assign workloads, schedule staff, and provide training and performance feedback Enforce safety, housekeeping (5S), and compliance standards Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, pick accuracy, and labor efficiency Troubleshoot shipping issues, delays, and discrepancies Maintain documentation (BOLs, packing lists, manifests, ERP/WMS data) Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and improve flow Required Education & Qualifications High school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor's degree preferred) 2-5 years of warehouse or shipping experience, including supervisory responsibility Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP/WMS systems and shipping principles. Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and inventory management Understanding of transportation modes, carrier coordination, and freight terms Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Previous SAP experience highly desirable. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and material handling equipment. Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping processes Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred) WORKING CONDITIONS: Manufacturing or plant-based environment. May require occasional overtime or schedule flexibility to support operational needs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Why Choose Modine?
