Overview
NaphCare is hiring a Clinical Operations Provider to join our team at our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL. The Clinical Operations Provider travels to NaphCare contracted correctional facilities to provide onsite training, provider support, operational consultation and, when appropriate and necessary, provides remote provider gap coverage. The Clinical Operations Provider will design innovative educational strategies that enhance clinical competency, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care in a correctional healthcare setting. Collaborate closely with clinical leadership, operations, and quality teams to assess training needs, standardize educational content, and support professional development initiatives that align with NaphCare's mission and values.
Responsibilities
Work with site leadership to evaluate and optimize clinical workflows, ensuring effective integration of evidence-based practices and operational efficiency across all correctional facilities, which includes but, is not limited to, site provider training and support and remote provider gap coverage when necessary.
- Provide onsite coaching, shadowing, and workflow reinforcement for newly onboarded providers and established providers needing additional guidance to optimize clinical workflows and operational efficiency.
- Identify providers requiring additional clinical or operation support through quality metrics, peer feedback, and leadership referrals.
- Develop and implement provider improvement plans including targeted coaching, workflow training, and clinical mentoring.
- Partner with site leadership and medical directors to monitor progress and ensure successful remediation and reintegration in standard practice.
- Assess site operations and provider workflows, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and patient care delivery.
- Design and implement onboarding, continuing medical education (CME), and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
- Ensure all educational content is compliant with accreditation bodies (e.g., ACCME), state licensing boards, and institutional policies.
- Lead provider engagement strategies through innovative learning technologies (e-learning, webinars, simulation, etc.).
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs using KPIs, feedback surveys, and outcomes data.
- Partner with IT, Quality, and Compliance teams to align training with system initiatives (e.g., EMR updates, clinical pathways).
- Support provider proficiency with the electronic medical record (EMR) and clinical documentation standards to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient recordkeeping.
- Manage departmental budget and allocate resources efficiently.
- Stay current on trends in medical education, adult learning, and healthcare regulation.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Education, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years in healthcare education or clinical training,
- Clinical license (NP, PA) required.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of TechCare EHR and correctional operations.
- Provider training in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to independently evaluate and assess, diagnose, and treat correctional patients in the NaphCare clinical environment whether in person or via remote telemedicine.

Physical Demands:
- Long periods of sitting at a desk performing light physical work, including working at a computer terminal.
- Light physical work involving lifting and carrying.
- Talking and listening to communicate ideas or requirements to individual staff members.
- Travel is required for the position. Anticipated travel for this position includes a minimum of 2 to 3 trips per month, but is dependent on operational needs that may require additional travel or trips as the needs arise
