This role will be critical to supporting the work of the Software Operations & Support (SO&S) leadership as their team of 700 engineers work to maximize our customers' productivity through expert problem resolution, clear guidance, and trusted partnerships.

Your Day-to-Day

The SO&S Business Operations Team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that support the delivery of high-quality solutions and services. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on time and within scope, while ensuring strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project planning, including scope definition, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams-Product Support, SaaS Operations, R&D, and leadership-to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues or roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to maintain momentum.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, timelines, budgets, and reports.
  • Ensure projects adhere to PTC's internal processes, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, tools, and project methodologies.
  • Support change management activities and help teams adopt new processes or technologies.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, or customers when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Action-oriented and committed to driving quality results.
  • Knowledge/experience in Program/Project Management (PMBOK) methodology.
  • Ability to lead and influence others at all levels, including peers through senior management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) is a plus.

  • Adaptability and comfort navigating ambiguity.

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between$60,000 - $73,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs. Employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and, if you are an office-assigned employee, a generous commuter subsidy.
