Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Wilmington, DE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves end-to-end full-stack development, where the ideal candidate will design, build, test, and deploy applications across UI, backend, and data layers. The position requires owning features from technical design through production release, ensuring performance, security, and operational readiness while working within a hybrid model aligned to U.S. EST business hours. Responsibilities: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering Design, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications across UI, backend, and data layers Build modern, responsive, accessible UI experiences using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA Build and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs integrating UI, data, and downstream systems Design and implement graph data models and integrate graph data within backend services Contribute to and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, and OpenShift (OCP) Lead technical design sessions, architecture reviews, and proof of concept (POC) initiatives Partner closely with product, platform, data, and AI teams Mentor other engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and best practice evangelism Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, or related technical field 6+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong frontend experience: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 Strong backend experience: Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs Database expertise with SQL Server and MongoDB Proficiency with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker Demonstrated ability to independently deliver large, complex solutions in an enterprise environment Desired skills: Hands-on experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Aura) Experience designing knowledge graphs or relationship-driven models Exposure to AI or GenAI-enabled applications and data platforms Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and enterprise observability tools Background supporting large-scale consumer or data platform environments Pay range: $48.91 - $56.91 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
