Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will be part of a Data Strategy team supporting a large-scale digital transformation. The selected candidate will be actively involved in the design and development of a strategic data platform on the Azure Cloud Platform, initially focusing on reference data for securities and pricing, and later expanding to other data domains within capital markets. Responsibilities: Participate in the active development of a strategic data platform in close coordination with the client team Contribute to the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data Follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team Implement solutions on the Azure Cloud Platform Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience as a full stack Python/PySpark developer and Data Engineer Proven experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen 2, Azure Databases, Azure Data Fabric, API Gateway management, and Azure Functions Well versed with Azure Databricks Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc) and CI/CD processes Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes Desired skills: Experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of financial instruments, asset classes, and market data Pay range up to: $63.02 per Hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
