Job Description

Responsible for directing all aspects of the operation to include the supervision and management of employees, materials, supplies and quality control of all work performed. Maintain open communication with contract representatives and corporate personnel. Establishes and monitors plans and procedures; provide guidance on employee problems and initiate/maintain training programs, safety programs, sanitation programs, equipment maintenance with the assistance of the assistant project manager with the quality control program.

Primary Duties

  • Oversee all assigned operations including supervision of employees to accomplish contractual and KPI requirements.
  • Develop staffing plans and coordinate with the Assistant Project Manager to train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate performances of employees. Interview and recommend prospective new hires.
  • Assign duties to employees as needed due to absenteeism whether scheduled or unscheduled. Perform these duties in cases where no other employee is available to fill in.
  • Interface with contract personnel on all routine matters pertinent to contractual obligations.
  • Make sure that all employees are trained in customer service, research procedures for patient locator services and medical emergency codes. Ensure records and reports are completed accurately and timely as required by operations, rehabilitation, and human resources departments as well as the contractor.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Interface with customers on a regular basis to solve issues that arise.
  • Research, write, and discuss employee counseling reports as needed.
  • Ensure that the scanning, faxing, and filing of all data being handled, meets, or exceeds data security requirements as set forth in the contract. Must immediately notify COTR and Executive Director whenever a breach is discovered.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of administrative services with management or supervisory experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain VA security clearance.
  • Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work with people internally and externally at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must also become familiar with corporate specific programs and software.
  • Must be very organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent oral/verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with the highest levels of accuracy.
