SUMMARY OF POSITION:

A Credit Portfolio Analyst should demonstrate commitment to delivering distinctive service. The position will be responsible for reviewing credit analysis and providing feedback to Credit Advisors and Credit Analysts. As part of the Credit Admin Support Team (CAST), this position also assists with ongoing credit project implementation and training initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone. Respond to client inquiries and satisfactorily resolve client issues. Support firm-wide achievement of the three-ring standard (all phones answered by a live person within three rings).
  • Review inputs at credit events for accuracy, including new loans, renewals, and credit reviews. Conduct reviews in a timely fashion meeting or exceeding monthly targets.
  • Provide feedback to Credit Analysts and Credit Advisors on any incorrect inputs that surface as part of reviewing inputs.
  • Report results of the review process to CAST leadership.
  • Assist Credit Analysts and Credit Advisors with risk rating inputs by answering questions related to spreading and risk rating in Moody's Credit Lens.
  • Develop training for Credit Analysts and Credit Advisors working closely with the L&D team to enhance understanding of Moody's Credit Lens and risk rating processes.
  • Assist with ongoing CAST projects as needed, including but not limited to further enhancements of the Moody's Credit Lens platform.
  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - College degree is preferred in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or another business-related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in financial services, 10 years preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of financial statements and spreading software.
  • Working knowledge of the lending process.
  • Knowledge of Banking Compliance and Security Regulations and Procedures.

DESCRIPTION OF CAPABILITIES, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks.
  • Excellent analytical skills in order to analyze financial and procedural data.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Understanding of critical lending documentation, general business systems and internal controls.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent client service skills. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with both clients and associates.
  • The physical activities of this job include but are not limited to the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, use of manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and the ability to hear. Often long periods of mental concentration are required. Other activities are the ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.
