Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Partner with Business Units, Procurement, R&D, and Operations to ensure continuity of supply for materials and fabricated components.

  • Monitor key supplier metrics and provide visibility and escalation to cross-functional teams when needed.

  • Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk mitigation strategies for critical suppliers and high-impact mechanical components.

Qualifications / Traits:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Advanced degree optional; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt strongly preferred.

  • Experience with supplier quality engineering for mechanical or fabricated components strongly preferred.

  • 5-7 years' experience in semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or other high tech / precision manufacturing industries.

  • Working knowledge of GD&T, surface finishing, machining, welding, metrology, SPC systems, PFMEA, and control plan development.

  • Proficiency with preferred statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP, SAS, Camline).

  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate with cross functional teams.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%. The individual will be expected to visit local suppliers as well as other domestic suppliers as needed.
