Detailed Description
The Site Supervisor 3 is responsible for supervising day-to-day field fracturing operations and ensuring successful service delivery to the customer. This role coordinates personnel, equipment configuration, and materials while maintaining strict adherence to safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervise day-to-day fracturing operations at the wellsite and ensure full service delivery to the client
  • Coordinate location configuration, equipment spotting, and placement of treating equipment
  • Monitor pumping operations from the data van and ensure safe execution of treatment plans
  • Ensure required materials and resources are available for operations
  • Conduct pre-job and post-job safety meetings identifying risks to personnel and the environment
  • Perform wellsite reviews prior to crew arrival
  • Review and ensure adherence to the Service Quality Plan (SQP)
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for operational challenges
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization on location
  • Coach, mentor, and train service operators and other field personnel
  • Utilize competency processes to improve job performance and operational standards
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Represent NexTier professionally to customers and stakeholders
  • Complete respirator fit testing and other safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Advanced knowledge of QHSE and DOT policies, procedures, and industry best practices
  • Strong knowledge of rig-up/rig-down procedures, pumping operations, and equipment maintenance
  • Advanced understanding of fracturing equipment and wellsite operations
  • Knowledge of chemicals, proppant systems, and QA/QC processes
  • Ability to train, coach, and evaluate service operators
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including the ability to manage performance and disciplinary actions
  • Ability to conduct audits, perform hazard assessments, and lead safety meetings
  • Strong customer service skills with commitment to service quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic operational environment with defined deadlines
  • Ability to manage operational documentation, reporting, and compliance records
  • Basic understanding of operational logistics and coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and supervise teams in field operations
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 7-10 years of field experience in hydraulic fracturing or related oilfield operations
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Assigned courses: Front Line Leadership; Art of Communication
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English for safety and operational instructions
Preferred Certifications
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • HAZMAT Endorsement
  • First Aid Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Forklift Training
  • Lockout/Tagout Training
  • PEC Premier Safety Certification
Additional Details (Working Conditions & Physical Demands)
Field-based role with 100% travel to wellsite locations. Outdoor work environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, chemicals, and industrial hazards. Work schedules may exceed 8 hours per shift, depending on operations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Medium physical work, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and repetitive hand movement. Exposure to confined spaces, heavy equipment, and moving machinery. Respirator fit testing is required for this role.
